The bitters of time
The ticking of my mind
The biting unkind
The torture of a kind

For an eternity?
It seems like life can be
A torture into eternity
By the tick tock of time

These massive bitter sweet
Gatherings of tension and uneasiness
Evolved into earth growing
Plants with eyes and a taste for time

They just want to chew me up
Biting on and ripping off all my hopes
And my youth is being taken
Little by little, yet really in chunks

According to my understanding
Time only exists on Earth
And that explains this colossal
Sunflower of Time

Anywhere else, and now you will find
An endless experience of invincibility
An endless sense of no time, no limit
And a comforted mind

But on Earth my time is a limit
Cause as my heart beats, I feel the ticking
As my pulse accelerates
My dreams seem to pass away

I hear crunch, crunch, crunch
I say "Yo, get away.
You're invading my comfort space!"

Let me pray tonight and be at ease
I will bow my head to be relieved
Turn my back and I won't see
The Sunflower of time as it grins endlessly
