Goodbye

I have said it for hours, and I could have said it for years,
But now it is forever, as I say it with tears,
I wish I could’ve held you, and said it with a kiss,
And yet, I have no other word than this,
Goodbye.

An Angel you have been, yet now you don’t descend,
Upon my life, now dying without Your Love, still bleeding to no end,
I will leave your life, and scar my soul with going, as I say,
To you my once Loving Angel Lucia, farewell, I’m on my way,
Goodbye.

You were my every thought, my every hope to live,
Yet it all went unrequited, in vain, all that I could give,
This is why I say it, and your Love I can no longer enfold,
For this word, so powerful, so painful, was ever so foretold.
Goodbye.

My Love for you Lucia, now undone, now untold, dismayed,
As I begged, and crawled, on my knees, as I laid, and I prayed,
To your Heavens, to look down upon me, this broken sight,
As I cry, bidding farewell, wandering through the night, for I have lost You
I am dying,
As I say,

Goodbye.
