I don’t want to let you go
I want to show you that I love you so
In my winter nights I will be warm
And in my summer days I will feel cool

For there are many ways to show trust
And one way is to love oneself
In the loneliness of my life
I can find comfort in your words

With the stars in the evening sky
And the pouring rain in my backyard
Through stress and depression

For there are many ways to show faith
And one way is to give myself
In the early afternoon of my life
I will need your guidance the most

With a deep gasp at air
Straighten myself up and face the day
With tears held back into my eyes
I can face this aging Tuesday

I want to make my passion for life
As perfect as God
But with Satan as my enemy
There is so much pain and strife
I seem to fail in my many plans
