The
First Poem
"Is
this what love is?" asked a young man
As
he walked down the road holding her hand.
"It's
a whole new world I never knew existed."
This
feeling he had forever persisted.
"What
do you love of me?" asked his beautiful companion.
He
looked at her with eyes of a grand empty canyon.
"Is
it the golden emblem I've given you for the new season?"
"No"
he said, "That is not the reason."
"What
do you love of me?" asked his curious companion.
He
again looked at her with eyes of an empty canyon.
"Is
it my vast wealth of shining silver and land?"
"No"
he replied, as he gently caressed her hand.
"What
do you love of me?" asked his young companion.
He
looked at her with eyes of radiant compassion
"I
have found what I love of you" as he hesitated at this part
"It's
the source of life" he said, "It's right there in your heart."
